Measurement Engineer  

General Duties of Measurement Engineer:

Measurement System Management

  • Ensure accurate measurement of crude oil, refined products, utilities, and bulk chemicals.
  • Maintain and monitor the calibration of flow meters, level gauges, and other measurement devices.
  • Implement improvements in measurement processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Custody Transfer & Loss Control

  • Support custody transfer operations by verifying and validating measurement data.
  • Identify and investigate oil loss discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to ensure data reliability for financial transactions.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure all measurement activities comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare technical reports on measurement performance and discrepancies.
  • Assist in audits and inspections related to measurement operations.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose and resolve issues with measurement instruments and data accuracy.
  • Work closely with operations, instrument, technology and E&S to optimize measurement performance.

Training & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide technical guidance and training to measurement department personnel.
  • Stay updated with the latest measurement technologies and industry best practices.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field).
  • 3 to 8 years of experience in measurement systems, flow metering, or process control.
  • Job Knowledge: Expertise in flow metering, volume measurement, and instrument calibration.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, troubleshooting, report writing, and data analysis.
  • Competencies: Attention to detail, problem-solving, teamwork, and adaptability.
